Arches National Park

Arches National Park is a remarkable landscape, with fascinating arches and other cool rock formations in southwest Utah near Moab.

Arches NP is a relatively small park and can be mostly seen in a full day. You may choose to spend a few days if you want to do lots of hiking or if the weather is too hot to be out mid-day. Here is a map of Arches.

The most famous hike in Arches National Park is the iconic Delicate Arch!

3.0 moderate miles

Delicate Arch Viewpoint is an accessible path to see Delicate Arch from a distance.

I will now do the sights and hikes I order of the road. A few minutes after you enter Arches you pass some interesting formations. Park Avenue is a hike in this area that gives you a closer look at the unique rock formations, but generally you can just appreciate them from your car as you drive by.

0.9-1.8 easy miles

Double Arch is a spectacular reward for a very short and easy hike (and can be viewed from the parking lot).

Landcape Arch is the longest arch in the park and the trail includes two other arches!

1.9-2.5 moderate miles

Sand Dune Arch is the most fun for kids and has the most diverse rock formations to climb on.
