Battle Creek Falls is such a fun winter hike because it’s such a short hike to a big reward. It’s also at a lower elevation so the snow isn’t usually very deep. Right now the falls look awesome like an ice cave!

Depending on how cold the temperatures have been will determine how much the falls have iced over. Micro-spikes aren’t usually required, but they are super helpful for the last 100 feet to the falls and to the overlook just beyond the falls.
