Blackridge Reservoir is a small reservoir in Herriman with beach area, playground, and the Fallen Officer Memorial Trail circling it.

The southwest corner is also Blackridge Trailhead, the access for mountain biking and hiking trails like Blackridge, Sidewinder and Diamondback Loop and Erik’s Trail. Here is a view of Blackridge Reservoir from above.

Blackridge Reservoir is great for kayaking, padding boarding and swimming, but isn’t stocked and fishing isn’t allowed.

There were a few Brewer’s Blackbirds here and some crows circling overhead. Please be sure to pick up your trash. This raven found some litter.

For a week or two each May Herriman City honors Utah’s officers who have lost their lives in duty with the Fallen Officers Memorial Trail. The rest of the year you can still walk the loop around the reservoir, which is wheelchair accessible.
