Breeze Arch, also called Katie’s Arch and Hidden Rock Arch, is an awesome little arch near Snowbasin Ski Resort in Huntsville, Utah, just east of Ogden.

Directions

This trail begins at the Maple Trailhead at Snowbasin Ski Resort. Stop at the swanky restrooms at the lodge. Then drive a minute over to the trailhead. This is the same trail as the Ogden Overlook and Sardine Peak Loop.

You will head along the wide road and soon will go past a little pond.

The wide path continues through a meadow.

Continue along the path through aspens and ferns.

As you are hiking, please be courteous and share the trail. This is popular with mountain bikers.

There were wildflowers hiking it in early June.

Soon you come through to a clearing with amazing views!

Here is the detour over to the Ogden Canyon Overlook. To get to the arch head along the path up the hill.

The wildflowers are gorgeous!

Continue along the trail. We saw some birds circling overhead.

You can look across the canyon and see Breeze Arch along the canyon wall.

The next section goes through the trees again.

When the trees clear you can see an overlook of the Ogden valley!

Here are the side views.

Breeze Arch (also called Katie’s Arch and Hidden Rock Arch) is straight ahead below the overlook. To get there, retrace your steps about 20 feet and you will see a path that heads down around the side of the hill. When looking at the overlook it is to your left.

The first part is relatively flat.

Then it gets kind of steep with loose gravel, so walk carefully.

Here is a view from below looking up at the steep section of trail.

The trail hugs the mountain and soon you will come down to Breeze Arch!

If you are there in May or June, you may have wildflowers!

There is a drop off to the left side, but there is enough space to go over to the arch for pictures.

Return to the main trail and then continue along the Sardine Peak Loop or just return back the way you came.
