Ferguson Canyon is just south of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It isn't part of the watershed, so does allow dogs. The first part has only a gradual incline and is great for all ages. There are rock climbing spots and then the further you get into the canyon, the steeper it gets.
Broads Fork Trail is a lesser known trail that is nicely shaded and has beautiful views, especially in the fall.
The Pfeifferhorn, also known as The Little Matterhorn, is a spectacular triangular-shaped peak and is a challenging, iconic hike. Pfeifferhorn is named after Charles Pfeiffer, whose ashes were spread on the peak in 1939.
Upper Red Pine Lakes are three lakes are located above the far more popular Red Pine Lake. Sometimes the bottom one is dried up.
