Goosenecks Overlook and Sunset Point are impressive viewpoints along a very short hike in Capitol Reef National Park. This is an easy trail that begins at the end of a short improved unpaved road. Any car should be able to do this in good weather. Just a very small trail up from the parking lot is the Goosenecks Overlook that looks down on the winding Sulphur Creek 800 feet below.
The other views from the overlook. I was there both at an overcast sunset and a sunrise, so the lighting is quite different in the photos.
The Sunset Overlook trail is only about 1/3 mile from the parking lot and it mostly flat. It does allow for more beautiful views.
