Jackson Flat Reservoir is a great place for recreation near Kanab, Utah. Fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and playing on the beach are all great things to do here.

The beach also has a great playground, workout area and sand volleyball court. There is even a full 18-hole frisbee golf course!

There is also a 3.2 mile paved trail that loops the lake. Jackson Flat Reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, largemouth bass, sunfish, and catfish, so it’s a great place for fishing! Kanab gets hot in the summer so this is a wonderful place to cool off!

Other hikes nearby are the Belly of the Dragon, Kanab Sand Caves, and Wire Pass to Buckskin GulchCoral Pink Sand Dune State Park is also close. Kanab also has fairly dark skies for night photography.
