Kanab Area Trails

The area around Kanab, Utah is an adventure playground with hiking, ATV, and more. Here are a few of the fun spots we have enjoyed in and around Kanab. I will put the Kanab Area Trails in order following Highway 89 from North to South and East to West to Page, Arizona.

Kanab Hikes and Attractions

Belly of the Dragon – 0.4 easy miles
Kanab Sand Caves – 0.5 moderately easy miles

Coral Pink Sand Dune State Park is a slight, but really fun detour.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes – 0.3 easy miles (to sledding hill)

Jackson Flat Reservoir is a great place for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, or fishing. They have a fun playground, built-in work out equipment, a frisbee golf course and a paved walkway around the lake.

Jackson Flat Reservoir – drivable (paved loop is 3.2 accessible miles)

Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch is a truly amazing hike! It begins at the same trailhead as “The Wave” and has a remarkable landscape!

Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch – 4+ easy miles

Lake Powell’s Wahweap Bay

Horseshoe Bend is in Page, Arizona and is beautiful! Beehive Trail with The New Wave and Lower Antelope Canyon are also in Page.

Horseshoe Bend – 1.2 easy miles
Beehive Trail – 1.4-2.0 easy miles
Lower Antelope Canyon – 1.1 easy miles (requires a tour)

Other areas nearby Kanab are Zion National Park (48 minutes), Bryce Canyon National Park (80 minutes), St. George (84 minutes), Snow Canyon State Park (95 minutes) and the Grand Canyon (3 hours).
