Red Canyon is a beautiful area with lakes and views above Flaming Gorge Reservoir in the northeast corner of Utah.

The Red Canyon area has Red Canyon Lodge, Green Lakes and an impressive overlook with the Red Canyon Visitor’s Center. The Red Canyon Lodge is situated right next to its own private lake!

Just beyond Red Lodge is Green Lake West, which is extremely scenic.

There were birds and ducks around the lake.

The Red Canyon Visitor’s Center is perched on the cliff for incredible views!

While I was looking out the window, I saw a big horn sheep.

I came out and found a bunch of friends! The kids loved it!

Camping

There are camping spots around Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

The dark skies near Flaming Gorge are a fantastic place to capture the Milky Way!
