Sand Hollow Reservoir is a large and beautiful lake in reservoir near St. George, Utah. It is popular for fishing, kayaking, boating, waterskiing, and playing on the beach. If you turn right after the entrance than you head towards the sand dunes. There are lots of ATV trails along this side of the lake.
If instead you head straight then you get to the main boat ramp. Beyond it there is a popular place for cliff jumping. There is also an island that has spots for cliff jumping on both sides.
This cove is a good place for jumping, but it is also a location for scuba diving. It is actually one of the most popular places in all of Utah. The max depth in that are is 45 feet and there are several wrecks, including an aircraft. Boats should not enter the area, which is marked off. Fishing can be done from the shore or from a boat.
The water is very clear at Sand Hollow. Rentals are available for many watersports, including boats, kayaks, and wave runners. There is a whole network of ATV trails. Here is a link to the map. There is also camping at Sand Hollow.
