Snow Canyon State Park is an amazing place and would likely be a National Park if it weren’t located so close to Utah’s Big Five. Slot Canyons, petroglyphs, red rocks, arches and lava flows are among the attractions you will find.
Prepare for Heat
St. George can get extremely hot, especially in the summer months. Be smart to hike early and bring plenty of water, even more than you think you’ll need to prepare for the heat. Don’t forget sunblock and sunglasses.
Snow Canyon State Park
Snow Canyon State Park is an amazing gem within 15 minutes of St. George. To get there take exit 8 on I-15 and then follow Red Hills Parkway that becomes Snow Canyon Parkway. The fee to enter is $10/vehicle for Utah residents, $15/vehicle for non-residents or Utah State Parks Pass.
