Sun Halos are rings around the sun caused by cirrus clouds high in the atmosphere. The ice crystals in the clouds are what refract the light, splitting it into a rainbow of colors. This is a fairly rare phenomenon. I actually took these photos last June at Lisa Falls, but I hiked it again today and it reminded me. I thought I’d make a special post, since it’s so cool!
