This is a wonderful loop in Millcreek Canyon year round. It’s a 1.6 mile loop with the Thaynes Canyon side being slightly steeper and narrower and Desolation having more switchbacks and expansive views.
that means I’m the winter, you can hike up the Desolation Trail and then sled down the Thaynes Canyon side! You could hike it in either direction with microspikes.
